Esta St. Hilaire Obituary

Esta St Hilaire, the vibrant soul whose laughter could light up the darkest room, has danced her way into the heavens on April 1st, 2024. Born with the fiery spirit of Haiti in her heart, Esta brought her warmth and radiance to Brooklyn, New York, where she transformed everyday life into a celebration for all who knew her.

Esta was not just the life of the party; she was the party. With a laugh that echoed through the streets of Brooklyn and a smile that could outshine the sun, she made the world a brighter place. Her children, Mario St Hilaire, Nadege Galette, Ernst Frederic, and Carline Frederic, were the pride and joy of her life, each of them inheriting a spark of her indomitable spirit.

The family tree Esta nurtured was full of love and laughter, with branches reaching out to her in-laws Maxo Boval, Ralph Ovidé Lormeus, and Naromise Merizier. And let's not forget the apples of her eye, her grandchildren Vance, Charleen, Kadie, and Ketura, who will carry forward her legacy of joy.

Esta's nieces and nephews, Marie Lourdes, Elifaite, Dieubon, Lormicile, Tony, Gracieuse, Lissemond, and Eliane, were all touched by her creative genius and her ability to turn the mundane into the extraordinary. She taught them that life is not just about living but about living well, with humor and intelligence.

A businesswoman by trade, Esta was the queen of commerce, selling shoes and food with a flair only she possessed. Her customers didn't just come for the merchandise; they came for the Esta experience, leaving with their purchases and a belly full of laughs.

Esta's work ethic was matched only by her passion for life. She was a seller by day and a dancing queen by night, infusing her love for rhythm into every aspect of her life. Her cooking wasn't just about feeding the body but nourishing the soul, with each dish served up with a side of comedy.

Her interests were as diverse as her talents. Esta loved to travel, but no matter where she went, she made it feel like home. She had the uncanny ability to help people while making them laugh, whether she was lending an ear or sharing her music playlist that was guaranteed to lift spirits.

Creative, funny, and intelligent – these words only scratch the surface of who Esta was. She could devise a business plan, crack a joke, and solve a crossword puzzle, all before breakfast. Her intelligence was matched by her wit, and her creativity knew no bounds.

Esta's laughter will echo in our hearts forever, a reminder that life is to be savored, shared, and enjoyed. She has left us with an abundance of memories that will continue to inspire joy and laughter in all of us. Her legacy is not just in her achievements but in the happiness she spread and the lives she touched.

As we say goodbye to Esta St Hilaire, let's not mourn with sorrow but celebrate with the joy she would have wanted. Let's dance a little longer, laugh a little louder, and live with the love and light she bestowed upon us. Esta, you may have taken your final bow, but your show will always go on in the hearts of those who loved you.

Funeral services will be held at Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton, MA, Saturday, April 13th, at noon. Burial to follow at Canton Corner Cemetery.
